"After a career of over 30 years
in the IT industry, Geoff has
more recently been indulging his
lifelong interest in Performing
Arts by working as an actor and
supporting artiste.
When resting he takes on a
variety of other jobs, in an
effort to keep himself off the
street corners!
In his spare time, Geoff can
often be found near a stage,
performing, directing, stage
managing or just watching!"

_____ Theatre includes _____

Castaway Productions:

(for Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2010)
Love Bytes [Hemail and Shemail] : Maurice
"Geoff Goble is funny and stood out. His monotonous whine was effective and caused laughter
and his gradually increasing arousal was nicely expressed."
Phoebe Ladenburg in 'Fringe Review' August 2010

previewed as a charity performance for St Wilfred's Hospice
"... thank you all for providing such a wonderful evening`s entertainment at our Edinburgh Fringe Preview in July.
In your two thought provoking and delightful comedies you turned the evening into something special and one which many people still talk about in the village! The evening raised £4,660 for St Wilfred`s Hospice."
Lizzie Gibbon, Secretary Lavant Valley Support group for St Wilfred`s Hospice

subsequently reprised (October 2010) for
Winterton Hall (Plaistow, West Sussex) fundraiser (supported by Pollytonic)
"Both pieces made me laugh aloud and all your performances were assured and relaxed.
That sort of comedy relies on very subtle playing and terrific pace and you delivered both in abundance.
It was a really perfect entertainment for the evening. Congratulations and thank you!"
Joe Harmston, West End Theatre Director

"The evening was a great success and we have heard nothing but praise from everyone that was there.
It was fantastic to watch you all create such a great cast of characters with no set and very few props and it
was great to be able to present something new which was so full of beautifully timed, laugh-out-loud lines.
John Barnes - Winterton Hall Management Committee

"I thought Castaway were hugely entertaining - very watchable and very funny.
I have not laughed so much at a stage show for a long time."
Audience review of LOVE BYTES at Plaistow in Oct 2010

reprised again (January 2011) for Ashington Players special charity performance

Hemail and Shemail consisted of two people sitting at imaginary desks sending emails to each other.
This was very cleverly performed by Geoff Goble and Liz McNally .....
..... Their body language and facial expressions were brilliant.
Jose Harrison, Noda Rep. Dist. 9

Terry Pratchett's Wyrd Sisters is of course based on "The Scottish Play" so in a
nod to another of Shakespeare's works, Twelfth Night, I dressed my Chamberlain
in the manner of Malvolio, but reversed the stockings and cross-gartering colours.
